Two men were arrested after authorities found more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana in their vehicle.

Robert Andrew McShane, 39, and Juan Pedro Grijalva, 36, were arrested Thursday and booked into Pima County jail on suspicion of transportation of marijuana for sale, said Deputy Dawn Barkman, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman.

The two men were arrested after they left a home in the 5200 block of Rocky Ridge Place, near North Kolb Road and East Sunrise Drive, Barkman said.

Authorities began watching the house after neighbors reported suspicious activity about one month ago and, she said.

The Counter Narcotics Alliance continued the investigation and also found $535,444 in cash at the home after obtaining a search warrant, she said.
